There’s still time to run out and buy a ticket for tonight’s Powerball jackpot; the prize has reached an estimated $381 million. The one-time cash payout for the March 6 Powerball drawing will be an estimated $228.1 million to the player who correctly chooses all of the lottery numbers.

What time are the winning Powerball numbers drawn? Numbers are selected every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time, with Powerball results typically posted within five minutes.

In most states, ticket sales stop at least an hour before the drawing, but a state may cut off sales earlier, such as Illinois, which ends sales three hours before the drawing. In Maryland and New Jersey, ticket sales end at 9:59 p.m.; in Virginia, they close at 10 p.m. Check with your state lottery for the sales cut-off time.

The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday, March 6, are: 06, 10, 21, 35, 46 and the Powerball of 23.

The largest Powerball jackpot in history was $1.586 billion, which was shared by winners in California, Florida and Tennessee in January 2016. Someone in South Carolina claimed the $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot on Oct. 23, 2018.

The Powerball game is played by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball number. The odds of picking the correct Powerball grand prize numbers are one in 292,201,338. You have a better chance of hitting the jackpot if you let the computer pick your numbers, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which operates the Powerball game and reports that about 75 percent of winning tickets have numbers chosen by a computer.

Powerball Results, Numbers for 3/6/19: Did Anyone Win The $381 Million Jackpot on Wednesday (Last) Night?

The Powerball drawing on Wednesday night was worth $381 million with a cash option of $228.1 million. Was anyone lucky enough to win the million dollar jackpot prize?

The lottery drawing was held at 11 p.m. EST on Wednesday night. The winning numbers were 06-10-21-35-46, Powerball 23, and Power Play 2X, according to the Powerball website. Although no one won the jackpot prize last night, one person from Puerto Rico matched five of the winning numbers and the Power Play and won two million dollars. There were also two people from Nebraska and Texas who matched five of the winning numbers and won one million dollars, according to the Powerball website.

The next Powerball drawing will be held on Saturday at 11 p.m. EST. The jackpot has increased and is now worth $414 million with a cash option of $247.9 million, according to the Powerball jackpot.

Powerball holds its drawings twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11 p.m. ET, according to the lottery website. The popular lottery games is played across 44 states in the U.S. including Puerto Rico, the Powerball website states.

A woman from Michigan was the last person to claim a Powerball prize. Beverly Blackledge from Clare County, Michigan, claimed her $200,000 prize on Friday after drawing four of the winning white balls and the Power Play during the February 16 drawing, according to a Powerball press release. Blackledge, 70, told lottery officials she had purchased the winning ticket at a Shell gas station in Harrison.

“I buy a ticket the day before every drawing and I always get the Powerplay,” said Blackledge. “I called the winning number hotline the day after the drawing and wrote down the winning numbers. I started with the Powerball and saw mine matched and then went on to match four white balls. When I realized the Powerplay was four, I couldn’t believe how much I had just won.”

Blackledge told lottery officials when she collected her prize at lottery headquarters in Michigan that she will buy a car, make home improvements, and pay off bills with her winnings.

In other lottery news, the South Carolina Education Lottery Commission said that the winner of the October 23 Mega Millions drawing came forward to collect the $1.5 billion jackpot prize. In a press release on Monday, the commission said the winner, who preferred to remain anonymous, chose the one-time payment of $877,784,124.

Powerball’s jackpot on Wednesday night was worth $381 million.
